COUNCILLOR ANDREA BAUGHAN
Mayor 2021 - 2022
The Charter Trustees of High Wycombe are delighted to announce that Councillor Andrea Baughan will be elected as Town Mayor of High Wycombe at their Annual General Meeting on Saturday 12th June 2021. Councillor Mrs Lesley Clarke OBE and Councillor Nabeela Rana will be the Mayor’s Consort.
Andrea was born in Lancaster but the family moved down to Hazlemere in 1971 where she and her sister attended local schools in Holmer Green. After A Levels at Bucks College (now Bucks New University) Andrea worked as a Residential Social Worker with adolescents and worked with friends to organise Wycombe’s first Green Festival on the Rye.
She then went on to work for the National Trust for ten years before relocating to Bournemouth for a while and working at an advertising agency. Moving back to Wycombe after having her second baby, Andrea met Matt and started getting involved in Community work.
Andrea now lives in the Ryemead area with her partner and three children who all attend The Beaconsfield School. She enjoys reading fiction and non-fiction, cooking, litter picking, coffee drinking and live music. She currently works at Stoke Mandeville Hospital as a Maternity Care Worker, specialising in supporting new mums. She was delighted and honoured to be elected for a second term as a Buckinghamshire Councillor and as Mayor for the year 2021/22.
