CLLR NATHAN THOMAS
BIOGRAPHY
The Charter Trustees of High Wycombe are delighted to announce that Councillor Nathan Thomas will be elected as Town Mayor of High Wycombe at their Annual General Meeting on Saturday 25th May 2024. Councillor Tony Green will be the Deputy Mayor.
Cllr Nathan Thomas was elected as a Buckinghamshire Councillor in May 2021 for the Tyler’s Green and Loudwater ward, which covers Tyler’s Green, Loudwater and the unparished Wycombe Marsh. Since being elected, he has also served as a Charter Trustee for High Wycombe.
Nathan was born at Wycombe Hospital and has lived in the area his whole life. He first attended Manor Farm Infant then Manor Farm Primary School before moving up to Sir William Ramsay School for his GCSE’s. For his A Levels he moved to Holmer Green Senior School to study Politics, Geography and History where he received A*,A, A. He has an older brother and a younger, identical twin brother. In his spare time, Nathan is often seen either watching his friends play cricket or watching the Formula 1.
He sits on the Health and Adult Social Care Committee and the Audit and Governance Committee on Buckinghamshire Council. He has been part of a review group that has worked on improving Dementia Care throughout the county. More recently, he has been part of a review group looking at Primary Healthcare Planning.
He has served as Deputy Mayor of Wycombe 23/24 where he had the privilege of meeting local residents and groups. He was seen first-hand the good work that is being done and he wants to use his mayoral year to highlight this. He is passionate about his community and the potential that our town holds and he will spending his time in his mayoral year highlighting the excellence projects that are being conducted here.
